Situated in the Tarragona Province is Costa Caribe, Spain’s most thrilling Caribbean themed water park. Costa Caribe is one aspect of the impressive Universal Mediterránea resort, which also boasts the fantastic theme park Universal Port Aventura, two luxury hotels and a train station.

The water park is spread across 34,262m² of the gorgeous Costa Daurada coastline, north of Salou and south of the popular tourist resort, Barcelona. Costa Caribe consists of a huge variety of water based attractions, which includes rides, chutes, slides, pools, lakes, Jacuzzis and beaches that are designed to create an exciting, fun filled day for all ages and swimming abilities. Visitors to the park also discover an environment and fantastic range of services that reflect the influence of the Caribbean, including the Reggae Café, Pirate Pizza Parlour and a large selection of sandwich and snack shops.

Universal Mediterránea has excellent access by air, rail and road. The resort is conveniently situated 10 minutes from Reus Airport and an hour from Barcelona; both offer cheap, regular flights to all the main destinations across Europe. Universal Mediterránea’s train station offers regular RENFE services to the major cities across the region and there are also a number of coach and bus services to Costa Caribe from towns throughout the Iberian Peninsula.

Reflecting the system at Universal Port Aventura, the year at Costa Caribe is split into two seasons each with a separate ticket pricing structures and opening times. Costa Caribe runs Season A from 15th June to 30th September and Season B covers the rest of the year, including the holiday periods during which the entire park is closed. During Season A the park is open daily from 10am to midnight and during Season B from 10am to 7pm.

The price of an adult’s 1 day ticket during Season A is18 €, for juniors / seniors it is 14.50 € and for people with a disability the price is 9.50 €. Ticket prices for Season B are an adult’s 1 day ticket, 9 €, juniors / seniors 7.50 € and people with a disability 4.75 €. Costa Caribe considers juniors to be children between the ages of 4 and 11, seniors are people of 60 years and over and children under the age of 4 years of age enter the park for free all year round.
