Terra Mitica Overview |

|
The fantastic
theme park, Terra Mitica, is situated on the outskirts of the Spanish
east coast city of Benidorm. Spain’s first theme park brings the
rich history of the Iberian Peninsula to life through the use of
the most up to date technology available. Visitors to the popular
Costa Blanca discover a fun filled world within the park that recreates
the most ancient, enigmatic and legendary civilisations to have
settled in and around the Mediterranean Sea.
Terra Mitica consists of five distinct areas; Egypt, Land of Pharaohs;
Greece, The Home of the Gods; Rome, The Frontier; Iberia, The Warm
Shores and; The Islands, The Great Journey. Each area contains a
wide range of attractions and a large number of thrilling rides
that have been designed around a huge lake to represent the Mediterranean
Sea. Terra Mitica is a fantastic opportunity to experience the myths
and legends of the ancient cultures aided by special effects, animatronics
and digital imagery. The superb services and facilities available
within each area also reflect the cultures, cuisines, traditions
and plant life appropriate to the area.

Alicante’s main airport, El Altet, with a specifically designated
train station close to the park providing regular local rail services
to the principle cities in the region. National RENFE trains depart
from nearby Alicante for all the major destinations across the Iberian
Peninsula and mainland Europe. The park is positioned on the chief
Spanish east coast motorway network allowing a number of coach and
