The provincial capital city of Girona is positioned in the most northeastern corner of Spain, 60 km from the French borderand 90 km from Barcelona. This beautiful ancient city has had a rich and vibrant history with a settlement existing on the site for over 2,500 years.
The most prominent features offered by Girona are on the east bank of the River Onyar within the oldest section of the city, known as La Força Vella.
