What insurance is included in the hire price?

You can check this information in the steep 3 of your booking process. Basically our providers use to include third party insurance (CDW, Collision Damage Waiver; TP, Theft Protection and PAI, Personal Accident Insurance). It doesn’t cover tyres, wheels, window glasses, lost of keys or any damage made by negligence. Anyway, you can always add an extra insurance on arrival directly with our providers).

What is Excess or CDW Excess Maximum to pay if accident?

The excess is the part of insurance uncovered in third party insurance (CDW, Collision Damage Waiver; TP, Theft Protection and PAI, Personal Accident Insurance). The cost of excess varies depending on the model of vehicle. Usually you can delete this excess if you contract a supplementary insurance in arrival (Master Cover). You can check this information in the steep 2 of the booking process just selecting a vehicle or entering to SEE CONDITIONS. This amount is usually showed in the 3 steep.

What is Master Cover?

Master Cover is supplementary insurance which for a modest daily premium covers you for most of the eventualities that compulsory insurance does not. This extra insurance, usually contracted on arrival directly with our provider, delete the excess. We recommend taking it out to cover you against unforeseen events. How to pay?

Usually payment will be made on arrival with a proper credit card (Visa or MasterCard). For alternative methods of payment (cash or debit card), please, contact with: bookings@rentspain.com

Can I pay with my credit card if I am not the person who picks up the car?

Yes, that is acceptable but the owner of this credit car has to be there to authorize this payment.

What is your cancellation policy? Is there a charge?

There are no cancellation costs with Renspain.com so long as you do it through our web-site, minimum one day before collecting date. You can manage your cancellation directly to “CUSTOMER ACCESS” section.

I´ve booked a car but I haven´t received the confirmation. What should I do?

The confirmation voucher should normally be sent to you automatically by email. It could be that you haven’t received it because it has been marked as spam, and for that reason we ask you to check your “Deleted Items” box. If you do not receive your voucher, you can go to our web-site and print it off by entering your date of birth and driving licence number in the “CUSTOMER ACCESS” section.

How do I register an additional driver?

Any additional driver can be registered on collection of the car. They simply need to bring their driving licence and passport.

What’s the charge for an additional driver?

This extra charge will depend on the final provider. You can check this information in the steep 2 of the booking process just selecting a vehicle or entering to SEE CONDITIONS.

Can I hire more than one car with a single booking?

You currently have to make a separate booking for each car that you need.

Where is the office I go to in order to pick up the car I have booked?

You can check this information when you receive your booking voucher confirmation. At the end of this document you will find correct instructions to collect and return your vehicle.

I want to return my car and the office is closed. Is that possible?

This is not a problem as we are available 24 hours anyway for collections. You need to inform the office when you pick up the car so that they can make the relevant arrangements.

I’m not coming by plane, how can I book?

If you are not flying and are travelling directly to one of our offices, you just need to write the word “WALKING” in the Flight No. box. If you are coming by plane, it is very important that you give us your flight number to confirm your arrival time.

Can I book over the phone and still get the web price?

We recommend that you book online for reasons of speed and cost. Sometimes our lines are busy and we can´t help you. For that reason we suggest you always make your booking or enquire directly through our website www.rentspain.com

I need to change some booking details. How do I do it?

Any personal detail can be amended directly on our website, in the “CUSTOMER ACCESS” section. If you need to change any other detail of your booking, please, contact with our Booking Centre by e-mail bookings@rentspain.com

Do I get a better price if I book in advance?

Usually you will get a better price if you arrange your booking in advance. We suggest you book your car with in advance of 2 or 3 months. Then you can assure you next rental and take advantage of cheaper prices. Take note, if later you find a cheaper price in our website we will amend your booking without any extra charge.

How can I extend my car hire period ? Can I do it by phone?

If you need to extend your contract, please contact us by e-mail or telephone to get the new price and check availability. Then usually you have to go directly to our provider office to get the new contract and make a payment.

How can I guarantee the model of my car?

We are unable to guarantee a particular make or model of car. The car shown on the front of the voucher is for guidance only and may be substituted for and alternative, similar or upgraded car (at no extra cost).

What is the minimum age for hiring a car?

Usually all our providers require a minimum age of 21 to 23 years and 2 years of experience. In some special categories they will require a minimum ago of 25 years old and 2 years of experience.You can check this information in the steep 2 of the booking process just selecting a vehicle or entering to SEE CONDITIONS.

Is there a supplement for younger drivers?

If I have lost or renewal my license is being processed, can I hire a car?

Yes you can, so long as you provide them with proof that your license is being renewed.

What is the petrol policy? Can I return the vehicle with a full tank?

See “WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED?” section. To return your vehicle with a full tank of petrol, please, contact directly with our Booking Centre to check availability: bookings@rentspain.com. See specific conditions for each car (steep 3).

How much does a tank of petrol cost?

The cost of fuel varies depending on the model of vehicle, and that can be from 50 to 110 euros per tank. We always ask clients to pay the full cost of fuel at the beginning of the hire period.

Will I collect my car if my flight is delayed and I arrive after the office closes?

Yes because we wait until your flight has arrived. In the event of your flight landing after this office close, an extra charge can be applied. Please take note, without the flight number we may not be held responsible for any flight delay and consequently no personal there to deliver the car.

Can I take the car outside Spain? Is there a charge?

What type of child seats do you have?

Usually all our providers supply three different types depending on age or size: maxi-cosy (0 to 1 year), baby seat (from 1 to 3 years) and booster seat (from 3 years). Extras should be ordered just when you make your reservation.

Do you provide roof racks?

We do not provide roof racks. We recommend that you check your boot capacity on our web-site to be sure of adequate storage space.
