To start your visit to this environment you can go to the archaeological classroom located in the town of Las Médulas where you can find out how gold was extracted and how it originated landscape.
From the Visitor Reception Centre you can sign up for tours of ancient sites. The visit will be fruitful and that the guides will explain the characteristics of each site of Las Médulas.
Through these landscapes you will encounter red clay gullies, towers and underground galleries. Walking through the environment will find with these formations surrounded by chestnut trees.
To see perfectly the landscape you can climb up to the Mirador de la Orellán where your assured to get fantastic views. Right next to the gazebo there is a cave where the Romans practiced extractions. Other caves that were the center of gold mining are the Cueva Encantada and Cuevona.
